Říhová, Barbora ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Stupková, Michaela (referee)
Author: Barbora Říhová Title: Kinematic Analysis of Gait in Patients with Hip Osteoarthrosis Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to analyse the gait patterns in probands with Stage III osteoarthritis of the hip joint, to compare these patterns with published norms and to confirm a set of pre-established hypotheses. Method: The thesis was designed as a case study, the purpose of which was to observe changes in the pelvis and trunk extension during gait, associated with significant degenerative changes in the hip joint. A total of 9 probands with Stage III osteoarthritis of the hip joint (6 females, 3 males) took part in the study. A complete physiotherapy assessment was carried out as part of the study. The temporal gait parameters were used to measure the probands' walking speed and relative stance phase duration. The following variables were measured in the frontal plane: lateral displacement of the pelvis and trunk toward the stance limb (cm) and pelvic obliquity toward the swing limb (degrees). A 3D motion analysis and evaluation of kinematic parameters were carried out using the Qualisys motion capture system device consisting of 6 infrared cameras. Gait was measured at different walking speeds during a 10-second time frame and the data was subsequently subtracted from a minimum of 5 gait...

Zdražila, Václav ; Vágner, Michal (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title Impact of gear and weaponry on posture in kneeling shooting position Objectives The aim of this thesis is to find out the impact of gear and weaponry on posture in the kneeling shooting position. Specifically, this study examines the influence of carried load on posture, aiming stability and balance in the high and low kneeling shooting position variants. Methods This thesis has an empirical observational character. The shooting position was tested by Qualisys camera system and Kistler pressure plates. The measurment was performed on 16 Military department students with mean age of 23 years (standard deviation 2,63 years). Measurements were carried out in four levels, with no load, light load of 15 kg, mean load of 30 kg and heavy load of 45 kg. The measurement was performed on high kneeling variant and the low variant with elbow supported by the front knee. Intra-individual comparison of the results of each level was determined by a T-test. Results: The load in a form of gear and weapony had a statisicaly significant - negative influence on the kneeling shooting position posture. Gear and weaponry used for this study caused a lower trunk position, increased shoulders angle in the low variant, lesser aiming stability and balance control in the position. The bigger was the weight of gear and...
Effect of shooting stances on ballistic protection of the shooter
Zdražila, Václav ; Barták, Erik (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title Effect of shooting stances on ballistic protection of the shooter Objectives The goal of this thesis is to develop a method which could measure ballistic protection, which is currently provided by a bulletproof vest to the shooter in a current shooting stance. This work also focuses on analysis of the currently used shooting techniques and shooting stances, comparison of protection they can provide, and last but not least, to fill the gap in literature, wich deals with this issue. Methods This is an empirical thesis of observational character. Shooting stances were tested on a camera system named Qualisys. The results were first processed by a program for 3D analysis, and the ballistic protection provided by the bulletproof vest in different positions was calculated in a program for 3D modeling. Results: From the measured data, it was found that changing targets to the left (for right- handed) the provided ballistic protection significantly changes to worse. Conversely, when changing targets to the right, the ballistic protection faired the same or slightly better than aiming forward. The worst results of all stances came from the side shooting stance in which the bulletproof vest provided almost no protection. Sobotková, Ivona ; Hošková, Blanka (advisor) ; Pyšný, Ladislav (referee) ; Kálal, Jan (referee)
The subject of this dissertation was the creation of the adapted exercise program for unilateral transfemoral amputees and its verification in practice. The content of this program was chosen based on the practical experience and theoretical background in the field of anatomy, kinesiology, rehabilitation, lower- limb amputations and Motion Capture technologies. The four-month intervention program was designed as an adapted corrective exercise aimed at the major muscle groups influencing the posture, especially the position of the pelvic segment, which is the dominant element in the kinematic chain. The aim of this project was to ascertain whether this intervention can affect the pelvic tilt (in frontal and sagittal plane) of unilateral transfemoral amputees and so improve their quality of life. This was a project based on combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. The measurement of the size of angles determining the pelvic tilt by Qualisys optoelectronic system was the essence of the quantitative part of the research. Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews from persons who completed whole project. This research is by its nature and focus characterized as a set of case reports and as a pilot study, proof of concept respectively. 10 unilateral...
Changes of trunk mobility in relation to postural stability
Kocourková, Monika ; Šorfová, Monika (advisor) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Changes of trunk mobility in relation to postural stability Objectives: The main aim of this work was to quantitatively observe segmental trunk mobility in 3D space during flexion of arm and create coupled pattern phenomena of particular spine segments. Additional aim was to verify the effect of modification of the measurements on movement performance and to relate the given movement of the arm and the segmental trunk mobility to changes in the load of the lower extremities. Methods: The measurement itself was performed on 23 asymptomatic males aged 20 - 30. In 3 modifications of the motion measurement - no load, with load and with load and hold with arm forward, probands performed 5 repetitions of right arm flexion in the sagittal plane. The motion was scanned by system Qualisys markers while standing on 2 Kistler stabilometric platforms. Results: In most probands, the segmental movement of the spine was repeatable. It was possible to compare it between probands and create coupled pattern phenomena of the spine. The increased arm load and hold with arm forward caused an increase in the deflections of the particular spine segments in sagittal plane. Furthermore, the increase in load has led to demonstrably greater load changes in the lower extremities. The link between the segmental trunk...
